Zsuzsi Tóth - Soprano
Zsuzsi Tóth was born in Hungary where she began her musical studies with piano at the age of 7. She started her vocal studies in classical singing at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged in Hungary and received her classical singing Master`s degree in 2004.
She recently obtained a Bachelor degree in Early Music singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and is currently having her Master's education with Peter Kooij, Rita Dams and Jill Feldman.
As a soloist she has given concerts with ensembles like Collegium Vocale Gent, l'Arpeggiata (Christina Pluhar) , Vox Luminis (Early Music Soloist Ensemble), Le Concert Lorrain, Contrasto Armonico Baroque Orchestra, The Music Party and has been singing in numerous ensembles such as the Soloist of Namur Chamber Choir and La Fenice with Jean Tubéry, World Youth Choir, the Nederlandse Bach Vereniging, Nederlands Kamerkoor.
She has been invited as a soloist in Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Yugoslavia, England, Croatia and Hungary and performed in passions, oratorios and cantatas by J. S. Bach, C minor mass by Mozart, A. Pärt: Passio and Stabat Mater, in numerous motets and cantatas by Buxtehude, Händel and Pergolesi and in oratoriums by Rossini, Carissimi and Kodály.
During her studies she won a 1 year State Grant in Hungary (2002/2003) and the « Huygens programma Scholarship » in Holland (2006/2007). She participated on several national and international compétitions winning two 1st prices and A 3rd price. (Ruma - Yougoslavie 2002, Budapest – Hongrie 2003, Szeged – Hongrie 2004)
